The power, magic, and fun of imagining...what if?
Have you ever wanted to change a situation in your life but felt defeated before you even began?
Have you ever tried picturing a good outcome and then all of a sudden your mind is flooded by how its not possible?
I hear you.
I used to have the same pattern. I'd try to hope and then SLAM, the voices in my head would rise with vigor to "help" me see why that day dream was stupid, unreasonable, impossible, or naive.
This is pretty much how I lead my life. Don't hope for the best or you'll be disappointed. Don't dream of a better way or you'll get hurt when it doesn't work out. Don't imagine the enticing outcome because that's stupid and naive.
Then one day I was given an incredible gift.
“That if I wanted good things to happen I was going to need to take charge of my imagination and bend it toward the positive.”
I follow a group called The Power Path. And they gave me not only permission to dream of positive outcomes but also a mandate:
That if I wanted good things to happen I was going to need to take charge of my imagination and bend it toward the positive.
Our culture tends toward cynicism. We laugh at people falling on their faces. We mock those who try and are imperfect in their attempts. We roll our eyes at what we see as naive.
All this comes from a place of fear. A shut down hope. A desire to protect from pain and disappointment.
But if you want to change the status quo and change your life, you're going to need to start imagining that the best possible scenario could happen.
Your imagination is a tool of creation. Become conscious of it's power. Bend your imagination toward the positive. Open your heart to hope and allow yourself to dream of what you desire.
This will change your life.
